Team Young Company

First Stage's Young Company is a collegiate level organization committed to the growth of young performers. The three primary areas of focus are voice, movement, and the study of Shakespeare. The program has been such a blessing to me, granting me the opportunity to take part in incredible performance projects and introducing me to the most wonderful people. Every year, Young Company takes two larger trips, the APT trip which takes students to Spring Green, Wisconsin for a week where we spend time in nature, develop our skills, and see the beautiful work being put on at American Players Theatre. Additionally, Young Company sends Team Yorick to Utah to compete in the Utah Shakespeare Festival. I had the good fortune to go on the APT trip last year, and I can attest to its value, growing not only as an actor, but also as a person. This year, I will be going on both trips, so I ask you with whirling enthusiasm to donate whatever you can to this amazing program.
