Team Member

Hello! My name is Mara Holzen, and I am a third-year Young Company member and a senior in high school. Throughout my time in Young Company, I have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunities made possible by Bard-o-thon donations. During my second year, I had the privilege of joining Team Yorick to compete in the Utah Shakespeare Festival . Although our flight was canceled and we were unable to attend, it was nevertheless a rewarding experience. We were still able to put on performances of our piece, and this was made possible in part by the amount of funding we had received. Additionally, I went on the trip to APT last summer, and it was absolutely amazing. Being fully immersed in theater and nature was so gratifying, and I hope that future generations of students can experience it as well. The classical programming and trips at Young Company have had immense positive impacts on myself and other students, and your contribution can help keep these wonderful traditions alive. I plan to do 30 monologues this year, and hope to raise $10 per monologue. Thank you for your time and please consider donating!
