I am so thankful that I get to be part of First Stage’s amazing Young Company program! Everyone in Young Company is so accepting and supportive; I always leave class feeling energized and grateful—and in a little bit of a silly mood (ok, a lot of a silly mood). I didn’t realize that I would end up loving Shakespeare so much until I came to First Stage. After taking classes and being in HENRY IV PART I, I have officially been turned into an uncontrollable nerd, and am now obsessed with the histories (thank you, Marcy!). Being able to do in-depth study of Shakespeare’s works has been super fun; I’ve learned so much in my short time here, and I know this is just the beginning! Thank you in advance for supporting this incredible company–and Shakespeare!—through your donations! Now, I could keep talking about Shakespeare all day, but I’ve got monologues to practice, so I’ll have to continue my rambling “anon!”
