John Eash-Scott (he/him) is a Senior at Wauwatosa East High School, and this is his fourth and final year in Young Company. Since the summer before third grade, John has been highly active in First Stage. While he doesn’t like numbers, he’s going to use them anyway to describe his devotion to First Stage, since words fail: 8 (non-consecutive) years of Summer Academy, including 2 Company Classes; 6 years of Organized Chaos improv; 4 years, of course, of Young Company, including 3 years (1 absentee) representing Team Yorick at the Utah Shakespeare Festival; 7 shows, including 4 YC shows and 3 mainstage; and 6 years of membership on the Student Advisory Board, of which he is now serving his second year as the President and one of two Representatives to the First Stage Board. Most recently, John played the role of Bloat/Ensemble in FINDING NEMO TYA. First Stage has helped him become who he is as a person, and he can’t quite believe this marks the end of his last year. While John has a lot of words on what this theater means to him, he’s going to save them for the Senior Banquet. In the meantime, he hopes you’ll donate to either his Bard-o-Thon page, someone else’s, or just directly to First Stage. This organization changed his life, and he hopes it can continue changing others’, too.
