Shakespeare’s most endearing comedy runs the bases of history, romance, and laughter in this exciting new adaptation.

Pittsburgh native Steven Wilson has placed Shakespeare's classic story within the explosive backdrop of World World II. This story takes place in Messina, Italy, Shakespeare's original setting for the play and coincidentally, a key location during World War II. While American troops are stationed in Italy, they spend time teaching American baseball to the Italians. Eventually, Italy surrenders to Allied forces, but later switches sides and declares war on Germany. Italians and Americans, once rivals on the battlefield, become allies on the ballfield. Audiences can expect classic Shakespearean wit along with some fresh surprises suitable for all Shakespeare and theater fans!

Featuring: Jamie Agnello, John Bellomo, Patrick Cannon, Sol Crespo, Ja'Michael De'Shawn, Edward Gero, Lydia Gibson, Ian Gould, Angela Iannone, Cameron Knight, and John Michnya.
