Opera is my game. It's my true love. It's really the perfect art form, encompassing singing, playing, acting, dancing, stagecraft, lighting, costumes, makeup -- you name it. Having this passion for opera, it made sense that when I moved to Pittsburgh in 2013, I purposefully sought out involvement in the Pittsburgh Opera, and joined the Board the following year. It has been one of the best decisions I've made (next to early retirement!). And one of the reasons Pittsburgh Opera is special is its incredible Resident Artists program, which gives young, up-and-coming talent the opportunity to develop their skills on stage and off. I've been so impressed with this program that this year I'm a sponsor of one of the RA's, and am thrilled to directly be a part of such a tremendous program. I'm hopeful that with my support, Madeline and the other RA's will continue to build their amazing talents into successful careers, and will value their time spent on the stage in Pittsburgh!
