Mo. Walker became Music Director of Pittsburgh Opera in 2006, and has also served as Artistic Director & Conductor of Washington Concert Opera since 2002. He is Conductor Emeritus of Pinchgut Opera, a company he founded, and which specializes in operas written before 1800, and performed on period instruments. Having regularly conducted at the Metropolitan Opera, English National Opera, Opera Australia, and elsewhere, Antony is passionate about being able to make a significant artistic impact with the 2 companies he now has the closest relationships with, in DC and Pittsburgh. He is focused on finding new ways to communicate to people this wondrous synthesis of the arts that we call opera: in performance, podcast, virtual concerts, coaching or mentoring.
